Strategic
Systems-oriented
Detail-driven
Hi there.
Studying education shaped how I observe people and understand situations, which became the foundation of how I approach design.
What brings me here
I studied education but ultimately chose not to pursue a teaching career. Instead, I transitioned into UX through the New Media Design and Web Development program at BCIT, where I realized product design was where I could create the most value.

How I approach complex product design
01 Framing the Problem
I begin by understanding where the product sits within its market and operational context. This helps frame the problem with user needs and real-world constraints in mind.
02 Structuring Systems and Flows
I translate complex requirements into clear flows and structures. This helps ensure the product remains intuitive for users while supporting the operational realities behind it.
03 Aligning Teams Through Design
I present design decisions in a relatable way to both development teams and non-technical stakeholders, helping teams align on how the product should work.
04 Staying Close Through Implementation
I stay involved through development and QA to ensure the product works as intended. This helps catch issues early and maintain quality through to release.

Things I do when I'm not designing

Golf is hard, and so is life.
I’ve been playing golf almost every week when it’s in season for the past 2–3 years. Still can't manage to lower my score and often hit stupid shots. But I still enjoy the game since it gets me outside, walking on the greens, and driving around Metro Vancouver to discover new courses.
Snowboarding kills my knees.
I used to snowboard more before COVID, but one season, I think I overused my knees. Now I’ve got a chronic knee issue and have been snowboarding less over the past few years. But I still enjoy it when I go riding down the slopes in the mountains.

Meet my little sister Bomi.
I also love hanging out with my little sister Bomi, a sassy Shiba Mame Inu. She’s not a fan of other dogs but totally loves people and shows off her zoomies by chasing her tail and spinning around like a little tornado.
Fun facts about me
I can't ride a bike, and it's been on my New Year's resolution list for many years.
I’m good at remembering names and faces.
I don’t cook and mostly eat takeout.
I can’t swallow pills, so I’m practicing with smaller ones to check this off my New Year’s resolution list.
I hate fish and still remember how scared I was during our school aquarium field trip. I hate aquariums.
